The railway runs 34 Km between Queenstown & Strahan and was originally commissioned by the Mt. Lyall Mining Co. to carry minerals & timber from Queenstown to the wharves at Strahan.

Hi, and welcome to my blog. This is my first attempt at a blog so i hope you'll consider this a 'work in progress' as i become more familiar with the format.
